MICHAEL HOPKO

Michael Hopko began his journey as a glass artist in 1990, and currently operates his glassblowing studio in the Trinity Alps of Northern California. He has created a collection of hand-blown sculptures combining art and craftsmanship. The beauty and motion of nature are captured through glass in stunning detail.

Michael is an avid outdoorsman and this interest inspires and motivates his sculpture. He is well known for and has long been recognized for his variety of unique octopuses, but also makes stunning trout, bass, and salmon as well our local honu, mahi-mahi, yellow fin tuna, and humu humu nuku nuku a pua'a.

Michael gains his creative energy from his family, friends and many interests. He is driven by the desire to dedicate his life mastering his own personal interpretation of nature, recreated and preserved forever in glass.
