Aloha!  I flew over to Kauai last week to capture an incoming XL swell that was on the radar. I have a couple of specific shots in mind that I didn't quite get but I DID score a couple nice images I hope you like. Scored my second heart! Can you see it in the splash there? Couldn't be more appropriate for this location, I could (and did) sit here for days just watching the huge waves collide with one another. Aloha, Just a stunning Maui sunset out in Ka'anapali, from the beach in front of the Marriott there by Black Rock! Typically I work to reduce the reflections coming off the water in my ocean scenes, but I was so struck by how wonderfully powerful the reflections were as I was shooting this one that I couldn't help but run with it.
